On Monday I was in Cardiff for a meeting of our Connected Communities research project steering group. Our project, funded by the Arts & Humanities Research Council, is looking at The Role of Grassroots Arts Activities in Communities. It is a collaboration between Voluntary Arts, the Third Sector Research Centre at the University of Birmingham, the University of Exeter and the University of Glamorgan. On Monday we discussed the progress of our literature review and the key themes that have started to emerge. We also began to plan a high-profile seminar in London in October at which we will present the initial results of the study.
